ABOUT ME

DAPHNE - INFINITEHORIZONS.PIX

NATURE + PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

BASED IN CALIFORNIA

My name is Daphne, and I am a young photographer living in the gorgeous valleys of California. Outside of photography, I enjoy reading, painting, writing, and science - I am especially fascinated with space and wildlife. I work with my local wildlife museum with animal husbandry, tours, and events, and I’m constantly sharing ideas about the universe with friends and teachers.

Photography-wise, I have been interested in animals and the world around me from a very young age. I consider myself a wildlife and nature conservation photographer. I hope to make a positive impact on our planet through limiting my environmental impact and inspiring others to limit theirs. My very first camera was a KiddiZoom that I received at only a couple years old. I took countless photos on it (most blurry and indistinguishable) and took it everywhere. I began to get serious about photography about two years ago, when I discovered my love of wildlife photography. Now, instead of using a KiddiZoom, I use a Nikon D5600. Most of my photos were taken with that or with my mom's old Canon EOS Rebel xsi.

In 2019, I was lucky enough to be one of the eleven chosen applicants to attend the NANPA 2019 High School Scholarship Program. I headed to the Great Smoky Mountains in July of 2019, where I met award-winning instructors and other passionate photography students who continue to be some of my very good friends. I've also attended several Conservation Kids workshops with Daniel Dietrich, and Girls Who Click workshops with various conservation photographers.
